Someone on the team reads yours end to end before answering. Not skimmed, not fed to a model. That is the whole first line of defence.

Anonymity is not a feature.
You will not talk to anyone here without knowing who they are. Not a handle, not a pseudonym, not a stock photo. Faces and names, both sides.

Set your own rules on top of ours. Block by area, name, or keyword whenever you like. The person you blocked never finds out, not even a hint.

Reports get acted on the same day.
If a member crosses a line, someone on the team handles it. No forwarding, no forms. Sometimes an unmatch. Often a full removal.

What is a high-quality match?
Someone ready to build a relationship. Someone with the traits worth building one around. Someone whose life is trending in a good direction, not just holding still. We look for readiness, kindness, honesty, and someone the community would be glad to meet. If we would happily introduce them to a friend of ours, they are the right kind of person.
What is the application process for?
The application protects the members already here. Our job is to serve you, and introducing someone before they are ready would hurt the people we serve. So we read every one, and we approve only members we would want to be introduced to ourselves. The bar is not popularity. It is readiness.
Is there a cost to join?
No. Layla is completely free while we are in beta trial. Sourcing and vetting the right members costs real money, so we cannot say free forever and mean it. We will hold out as long as we can. When we do introduce a price, every pound will go into scaling the solution: finding more of the right members, vetting more carefully, and making Layla work for more people who need it. We are not trying to extract value. We are trying to fund the fix.
How can I trust Layla?
Layla was built by someone on the same journey as you. It exists because the person who built it needed it too. Every feature, every rule, every design choice comes from having lived the problem. Trust starts with knowing who is on the other side of the app.
What if I do not get matches straight away?
You have to be in the game to win. There is no daily deck here, so introductions take as long as they take. Sometimes weeks, sometimes months, sometimes longer. When we make one, it will be worth showing up for.
